Civitanova Marche (Mc).– He turns 31 the festival Civitanova Dance That from June 23rd to September 28th confirms itself as a showcase of dance art on the initiative of City of Civitanovaof theTheater Company and of theAMAT with the contribution of Ministry of culture And Marche region.
For the festival dedicated to maestro Enrico Cecchetti twelve appointments with Italian and international artists, world premieres and residencies.
There are many Italian artists involved in the major dance companies in the world, excellences that have conquered the international public.
To some of them Civitanova Danza dedicates the June 23 at the Rossini Theater in national exclusive a real kick-off party for the 2024 edition with Dancing Italy Gala. Italian talents on international scenes with Giada Rossi And Alessandro Riga (Compañia Nacional de Danza – Madrid) and with Giacomo Rovero and Charlotte Tonkinson (Royal Ballet – London), Daniele Bonelli and Futaba Ishizaki (Ballett Am Rhein – Düsseldorf), Lorenzo Lelli and Elizabeth Partington (Ballet de l’Opéra National de Paris), Danilo Lo Monaco and Romina Belen Contreras (Czech National Ballet – Prague).

The Gala, curated by Paola Vismara, is dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the birth of Vittoria Ottolenghi, writer, journalist and director of the first edition of Civitanova Danza.
The 4th July debut at the Rossini Theater first everat the end of one installation residenceOf Room 7 choreography by Carolyn Carlson For Tero Saarinen, a gripping exploration of the human psyche in which mysteries unfold without explanation. Saarinen embodies a multitude of archetypes, offering a dynamic journey through the tragic, the absurd, and the myriad mind games that shape our perceptions. Through the visual poems created by Carlson and Saarinen, Room 7 transcends language barriers, offering a universal experience where art speaks directly to the soul.
We get to the heart of it July 13th with the Festival within the festival, a dance marathon that has distinguished the strong planning of Civitanova Danza for years. At 8pm at the Cecchetti Theater the start is with Do you remember the future? ideation of YoY Performing Artschoreography by Emma Zani And Roberto Doverimusic by Timothy Carbone.
The work – a modular project with a multifaceted nature that involves the coming together of different artistic disciplines, including dance, music and visual arts, to create a multi-sensory and engaging experience – is presented in the form of “Open construction site”

The central appointment at 9pm at the Rossini Theater is with another residency project in national preview Dear son, choreography by Simone Repele and Sasha Riva for Sacha Riva, Simone Repele and Parvaneh Scharafali to music by Gino Paoli, Claudio Villa, Fabrizio de Andrè, Ólafur Arnalds And Arvo Pärt.
The Festival within the festival comes to an end at 10.30 pm at the Annibal Caro Theater with Le sacre du Printemps Of Dewey Dellchoreography by Teodora Castellucci on stage with Filippo Babini, Agata Castellucci, Alberto “Mix” Galluzzi, Francesca Siracusa. The company consists of Teodora Castellucci, Agata Castellucci, Vito Matera And Demetrio Castellucci compares itself with the work of Igor Stravinsky, a milestone in musical literature and an infinite visual source.
One more first ever The July 20th at the Annibal Caro Theater with Venus vs Adonis from the Enzo Cosimi Company. After the completion of the project Oresteia | Revenge Trilogy Enzo Cosimi in this new creation, which he signs with Maria Paola Zedda also the dramaturgy and entrusts the dance to the performers Alice Raffaelli And Leonardo Rosadini, deepens his research by focusing on the famous Shakespearean poem. The 23 July Civitanova Danza away to Stopped illuminate Villa Vitali with A night with Sergio Bernal, considered the “King of flamenco”, former principal dancer of the National Ballet of Spain, international star of classical ballet and Spanish classical. The show offers a visionary story through paintings in which Spanish tradition, the elegance of classical dance and the fire and passion of flamenco, an expression and symbol of the gypsy spirit, come together. Between dizzying solos and refined pas de deux and pas de trois, they dance with Sergio Bernal Cristina Cazorla And José Manuel Benítezwith the artistic direction of Ricardo Cue.
One more first national The July 31st at the Rossini Theater with Prelude of the French company Accrorap directed by the choreographer Kader Attou, one of the greatest exponents of hip-hop dance. The work, presented for the first time as part of the Festival de Marseille, is the story of the encounter between the music of Romain Dubois and the physicality of the dancers. The music, a rhythmic and melodic crescendo, holds in an intensity that becomes tension. The virtuosity of the dancers beats in unison with the music and the attention of the audience.
At the Arena Sferisterio in Macerata with Dance at the Operaa project by Macerata Opera Festival with Civitanova Dance Festivalthe August 1st the fruitful dialogue with the territory. On stage a new creation entitled Morricone night in collaboration with the National Dance Foundation / Aterballettoconceived and signed by the award-winning Spanish choreographer Marcos Morau with the music of the famous Italian soundtrack author.
Civitanova Danza comes to an end September 28th with Focus Alessandro Sciarroni which presents three works by the artist active in the performing arts, Golden Lion for Lifetime Achievement for Dance in 2019.
At 8pm at the Annibal Caro Theater it’s time U. [un canto], musical performance, concert, whose dramaturgy, curated by Alessandro Sciarroni with Aurora Bauzà And Pere Jouis made up of choral songs taken from the Italian repertoire composed between the middle of the last century and the present day.
Conclusion at 9.30 pm and 11 pm at the San Francesco Multimedia Space with Save the last dance for me creation in which Alessandro Sciarroni works together with the dancers Gianmaria Borzillo And Giovanfrancesco Giannini following the steps of the Bolognese dance called Polka Chinata.
