Mattia Signorini and Sara Bacchiega, together with many of the supporters, presented to the city all the guests of the tenth edition of Rovigo tells. Opening on May 31st from 6.30pm in Piazza Vittorio Emanuele with Mauro Corona, who returns to the festival with “Le swings” and tells the story of the Vajont tragedy. At 8.15pm Gino Cecchettin, Giulia’s father, will take the stage with his appeal so that tragedies like hers never happen again. At 9.30pm Roby Facchinetti will present “What a spectacle is life”, a journey through sixty years of Italian music between private life, family, the relationship with Pooh and social commitment.

THE MEETING LINES
Many events will be dedicated to the discovery of new perspectives for conceiving a present and a future while respecting people’s dreams, with a focus on the figure of women to explore what equality of rights means in every aspect of life. Saturday 1 June appointment with the human rights activist Pegah Moshir Pour, at 12 in the Chamber of Commerce, with “The night above Tehran”; at 4.30 pm the winner of the 2018 Strega prize, Helena Janeczeck, will present the novel “Il tempo degli imprevisti”. At 5pm in Pescheria Nuova you can discover the classics of literature with Guendalina Middei, known as @ilprofessorx; at the Giardini Michele Mezzanotte will try to explain why “Happiness is (not) a myth”. At 5.30 pm in Piazzetta Annonaria Ilaria Gaspari will address the topic of slander with “La reputation”; Enrico Galiano will be at 6.30pm at the Giardini Due Torri to talk about the atmosphere of “One life is not enough”; at 7pm, in Annonaria, Vera Gheno will talk about our language with “Grammamanti”. At 7.30 pm in Piazza Vittorio Emanuele the most read poet in Italy, Guido Catalano, will perform in the reading show “What do females do in the bathroom?” and at 9pm he will leave the stage to Vincenzo Schettini, the prof influencer who teaches Physics in a pop way.
June 2nd you will be able to meet Francesca Marzia Esposito with “Body Snatchers”, Jennifer Guerra and her “Feminism is not a brand”, Annamaria Testa and “La trama lucente”, Selene Calloni Williams with “Imaginal Fasting”, Matteo Righetto with “The wild path ”, the political activist Flavia Carlini with “We want everything”, Roberto Emanuelli with “Ora amati”. At 6.30 pm, in Piazza Garibaldi, the lawyer Cathy La Torre will address the topic of gender violence, while in Annonaria Luca Briasco, translator of Stephen King, will talk about the work of the horror master; Vito Mancuso at 7.30 pm in Piazza Vittorio Emanuele will invite you to open up to a more authentic existence with “You never lack joy”.
Some protagonists will dedicate themselves to history, current affairs and scientific dissemination: there will be Vittorino Andreoli and Antonio Funiciello; Sergio Rizzo will present “Io so’ io. How Italian politicians have become untouchable again”, and Franco Berrino will explain how to “Stop time” when we realize we are no longer very young. There will also be space for authors from Polesine: Martino Pietropoli and Sandro Siviero, the creators of Runlovers, will meet the public; Giovanni Boniolo with “Liberal education” and the finalist for the 2024 Strega prize Sonia Aggio, who will present “In the emperor’s room”.
