Papasidero is ready to welcome all amateur tourists and sports enthusiasts who want to go on excursions, such as quad biking, rafting, water trekking, guided tours and much more
June in Papasidero means only one thing: Outdoor Sports Day! On Friday 21 and Saturday 22 June, in the beautiful village nestled in the heart of the Lao River Valley and the Pollino National Park, the third edition of the most entertaining sporting event in all of Calabria organized by the tourist promotion association will be held Visit Papasidero and by the administration of municipality of Papasidero.
For the third consecutive year, Papasidero is ready to welcome all amateur tourists and sports enthusiasts who, by booking and purchasing a ticket costing 35.00 euros for adults and 25.00 euros for children, will give the possibility to carry out two excursions to choose from: rafting, quad biking, water trekking, canyoning, paintball, adventure park, trekking, e-bike, orienteering, survival lessons, equitrekking, river tubing, guided tour of the historic center of Papasidero, guided tour of the site archaeological tour of the Grotta del Romito and participation in the mini marathon.
Off we go Friday 21 June where the entire afternoon will be dedicated to 1st Meet Outdoor (from 2.30 pm in the PISL conference room): a special live space for industry professionals from across the area to meet and get to know each other; an afternoon of interaction and networking where the watchword will be sharing!
Sharing of new projects and start-ups, advice and suggestions from various points of view (commercial, fiscal and more), case studies of realities with positive outcomes and successes and everything that can spark an educational and constructive discussion, because the The primary objective is the involvement of all participants and not a sterile and passive presence.
Let’s continue Saturday 22 June with the real thing Event program (starting from 8:00 am at the dedicated area in Corso Oliva): a typical breakfast awaits you at the gazebo where you can collect and pay for the purchased tickets and then start an intense day of sports and outdoor activities .
In the meantime and for the entire duration of the event, radio podcast with music and interviews with participants and organizers as well as a beautiful cycle ride from Papasidero to the Grotta del Romito in which local associations involved in cycling trips all year round will participate .
The sports day will draw to its conclusion with the start at 5pm 1st Mini Marathon “Run in the village”a small amateur foot race on a short structured route within the alleys of the village of Papasidero, at the end of which the awards ceremony and thanks will take place but which will also kick off the last festive moment of the day.
In fact, from 8.00 pm, the evening will begin in Piazza Umberto I “Music & BBQ” which will see the musical show of the local artist “Angelo Lo Tufo and his band” and a food corner dedicated to grilled specialties typical of the area.
