Patch Adams at the Santobono hospital in Naples brought smiles to sick children

Surprise visit from Patch Adamsthe famous American doctor and inventor of clown therapyto theSantobono Children’s Hospital of Naples. Adams arrived at the Arenella health center this afternoon and made the young patients, but also doctors and nurses, smile with his irresistible humour. Patch Adams, real name Hunter Doherty Adams, he is the founder of Gesundheit! Institute. His activity also became famous thanks to the 1998 film inspired by him, starring Robin Williams.

Every year, Patch Adams organizes groups of volunteers from all over the world to visit patients hospitalized in various hospitals around the world. Together with his friends, all dressed as clowns, Adams gives smiles and jokes to the orphans and the sick. This time he decided to visit the little patients of the hospitalSantobono Hospital of Naples, regional reference center for paediatrics.
