At around 3.00 pm yesterday, a police squad on duty, carrying out a check inside the Park Cattaneo in Vicenza, observed the presence of a woman who, with a suspicious attitude, immediately tried to hide.
The State Police Agents therefore decided to stop her for further inspection. And in fact, inside the bag he was carrying, a cocaine wrapper was found.
But a more careful check of her documents made it possible to ascertain that she had been wanted for a few months because she had been subjected to a precautionary custody order in prison for a robbery committed in Vicenza on 5 February against a Pakistani citizen who was attacked together with others. two men (an Italian and a Senegalese, already arrested by the Vicenza Carabinieri in recent months), from whom their mobile phone and 150 euros in cash had been stolen. At that time a knife was even used to threaten the victim.
The woman – a 34-year-old FL Italian citizen, homeless – was therefore arrested and taken to the Montorio Veronese Prison at the disposal of the Judicial Authority.
