ON FIORENZUOLA’S PLAY-OUTS AND BENEVENTO’S PLAY-OFFS: “I’m also preparing for the final phase of the championship. I always follow Benevento, I wish you all the best of luck for these play-offs because they are difficult but you can do it“.
ON BENEVENTO’S PLAY-OFF RIDE IN 2016-17: “It’s a ride I’ll never forget. Everywhere I go, even here in the North, I always find people from Benevento, then there are social media. It’s an indelible memory, of the very difficult but indelible play-offs. We put ourselves forward and, in the end, we deserved it“.
ON THE IMPORTANCE OF THE STRENGTH OF THE GROUP: “The group, the harmony, over the course of such a difficult and long season is too important. Certainly the fact that it was Benevento’s first year in Serie B perhaps helped, there were no great expectations given that it was the first time in the category for the club. People were already happy like this, but we went further. At the end of the first round we were second, then in January an important transfer was made which gave us that something extra. We are very good friends with Falco, Ciciretti and Melara, but Viola and Eramo were also there: people who knew the category. It’s no coincidence that we won the championship“.
