The plague of thefts against photovoltaic systems in the countryside does not stop, even if last night things went badly for the usual predators, thanks to the timely intervention of the Field Guards of Andria, who brilliantly foiled a theft right inside a camp in the “Rivera” district.
As part of the checks arranged by the Command Office, a Consortium patrol, patrolling the area, surprised unknown criminals intent on carrying out the theft near the photovoltaic field.
The arrival of the Country Guards consequently caused the escape of the unknown criminals, who had already begun to work to complete the criminal action, as could subsequently be seen through the torn metal mesh, in addition to the attempt to remove some photovoltaic panels.
Both the owner of the plant and the Barletta – Andria – Trani Police Headquarters were informed of the incident via the Consortium’s Operations Centre, whose staff intervened on site to investigate the case.
