On May 2, 2024, the representatives of the Sassari Brigadethe First Lieutenant Alessandro Pusceddu and the Graduated Adjutant Nicola Agus, with the members of the Villacidro Medio Campidano Lions Club.
The purpose of the meeting, for a noble cause, was the delivery of 1600 pairs of glasses
to be donated to the Lebanese population during the next Peace mission in Lebanon called “Leonte 36” which will be operational in the coming months and will see the Sassari Brigade involved.
The glasses came to the Club from the Lions Used Glasses Collection Centre Chivasso and once selected, sanitized and classified, they are donated free of charge. This type of action is part of the Lions Club’s commitment to provide help and support to communities in need around the world
In this context of international commitment, the Sassari Brigade, ambassadors of peace in countries at war, asked for the collaboration of the Sardinian Lions for the collection of health and school materials to be allocated to the Lebanese population.
The Villacidro Medio Campidano Lions Club has taken action to collect donations and help.
This collaboration between the Sassari Brigade and the Lions Club is a message of solidarity, humanitarian commitment and demonstrates how different organizations can come together to support communities in difficulty around the world.
