The awarding of the scholarships from the Bilateral Tertiary Institution of Trentino took place yesterday in the Kessler Hall at the Department of Sociology of the University of Trento. A scholarship proportional to merit is paid to workers of companies associated with EBTer., who have obtained a high school diploma or a three-year/master’s or single-cycle degree. The subsidy can also be requested for the sons/daughters of the worker.

In addition to the President of EBTer., Valter Nicolodi and Vice President Walter Largher, the delivery was attended by Massimo Piffer, Deputy Vice President of Confcommercio Trentino, Fabio Bertolissi for Filcams Cgil, Fisascat Cisl and UilTucs, Barbara Poggio Professor of the UniTN Sociology department and Vice-Rector of equity policies and diversity, Lucio Gardin Television author, comedian and journalist, Francesca Velardita as moderator.

The evening opened with a greeting from President Valter Nicolodi and Vice President Walter Largher who recalled the organisation’s aims: «EBITER has the objective of identifying answers and building solutions of practical utility for workers and businesses, in relation to new needs that arise over time, in the context of the labor market and trade union relations. The Bilateral Tertiary Body of Trentino is a joint association between the trade union organizations and Confcommercio Trentino provided for by the national employment contract. Among the primary purposes, in addition to safety, subsidies for workers and reimbursements for companies, it is to increase the culture and “knowledge” of workers and employers”. After an interesting speech by Dr. Barbara Poggio on the new scenarios in the job market and the importance of increasing one’s culture, Lucio Gardin involved the kids, making them have fun but also reflect on various themes, including the importance of believing in your dreams.
