The Sicilian Region has approved the distribution plan of the Municipal Investment Fund for 2024. The decree, signed by the councilors of local authorities and the economy, provides for the assignment to local authorities throughout Sicily of 115 million euros foreseen by the latest stability law. The resources will be distributed according to the criteria established by the legislation, i.e. 90 percent based on the resident population and 10 percent in relation to the territory.

The sums assigned can also be used by the Municipalities for the payment of the principal portions of mortgages taken out for investment expenses.
