The appeal was presented to the Court of Cassation “for the abnormality” against the order adopted by the Court of Avellino on 27 April 2024 at the end of the process called Aste Ok. It was signed by the prosecutor Henry Jhon Woodcock, the Prosecutor Gratteri, the Deputy Prosecutor Sergio Ferrigno and the deputy prosecutor of Area I Rosa Volpe.

The appeal

An appeal against the eight defendants (who reverted back to being under investigation after the order issued by the court presided over by judge Roberto Melone) April Armando, Livia Forte, Nicola Galdieri, Beniamino Pagano, Carlo Dello Russo, Antonio Barone and Gianluca Formisano, Damiano Genovese all released from prison as a result of the decision adopted by the Court of Avellino following a 24-hour consultation session and a trial investigation lasting two and a half years. In the appeal, the magistrates highlighted how the decision of the Court of Avellino is affected by “structural abnormality”. We are now waiting for the Court of Cassation to set a date for the discussion of the appeal presented by the Anti-Mafia District Attorney’s Office of Naples.
