An exceptional cast for an evening of music and solidarity at the Teatro Cartiere Carrara in Florence (formerly Tuscany Hall) in support of Cure2Children and Pane Quotidiano Firenze. Alessandro Canino, Antonio Aiazzi, Dolcenera, Finaz, Gianni Maroccolo, /handlogic, Insieme, Lorenzo Andreaggi, Lorenzo Baglioni, Marco Parente, Parione 6, Peppe Voltarelli, Piero Pelù, Simona Bencini, Underdog, Yuri Lazaro, Manitoba will be on Monday 13 May on stage of the Teatro Cartiere Carrara in Florence (formerly Tuscany Hall) for “Florence… Sing Florence!”, the charity event organized by the Rotary Club Firenze Brunelleschi in collaboration with Arte Residente and Teatro Cartiere Carrara.
The evening, hosted by the actress Daniela Morozzi, will see the participation of some of the main Florentine musicians, by birth or by adoption, the only exception being Yuri Lazaro, a singer-songwriter from Pistoia who won the Fse/Giovanisì prize at the latest edition of the Rock Contest of Controradio.
It will be an opportunity to meet Piero Pelù again, a few days after the release of the new single “Maledetto cuore”. More rock, in all its nuances, with Gianni Maroccolo, Antonio Aiazzi, Lorenzo Andreaggi and Parione 6. Author’s music together with Peppe Voltarelli and Marco Parente. Between pop and electronic the sound of Manitoba and /handlogic. And then, the “virtuoso guitarist” and co-founder of Bandabardò Finaz, Dolcenera in solo piano version, the “mathematical” pop of Lorenzo Baglioni and the melodic pop of Alessandro Canino. The unmistakable funk voice of Simona Bencini of Dirotta su Cuba and the jazz rock of the historic Insieme. There is no shortage of Underdog, a young band from the Alberti Dante Art School. Thanks to a scholarship from the Rotary Club of Florence Brunelleschi, the students of the Liceo Artistico Alberti Dante, through an internal competition, also took care of the graphic communication of the event.
All proceeds from the evening will be donated to Cure2Children and Pane Quotidiano Firenze. Cure2Children offers the necessary care to children suffering from oncological pathologies, directly in their country, guaranteeing international global standards. C2C’s contribution is not aimed at large humanitarian emergencies but rather at the daily emergencies of families with children suffering from serious pathologies.
Founded in 1898, the Pane Quotidiano Firenze association works in favor of the less fortunate, the destitute and the needy by distributing food and other aid.
