Pescara – Will be held Wednesday 8 May at 12at theAurum, in Largo Gardone Riviera, the press conference to present the social event “Days of Sight” which offers free access to eye exams to disadvantaged people, adults but also children. From 11.15am, there will be a guided tour of the ophthalmology campus set up inside the Aurum.

The visual prevention campaign is part of a national project of high ethical importance which will involve ten days, from 8 to 17 May, ophthalmologists and orthoptists of the Regional Center of Excellence in Ophthalmology of the “G. d’Annunzio”, directed by Leonardo Mastropasqua. The professionals will be available to the most fragile and will carry out a series of fundamental checks for eye health, having the most modern ophthalmological technology at their disposal.

The OneSight EssilorLuxottica Foundation has chosen Pescara and Abruzzo as the national stage of an initiative which has the patronage of the Ministries of Health, Labor and Social Policies. Economically and socially needy people, assisted by Third Sector Associations, will have the opportunity to be examined free of charge and, in the case of diagnosis of visual defects, will receive the prescribed glasses as a gift. Screening will also be carried out for maculopathies, serious eye diseases that can lead to significant low vision or blindness. Particular attention will be paid to children: even in the absence of pathologies, they will be given sunglasses.
