ASL BT will formalize in these days the task of reviewing the project for the new Andria hospital in favor of the design group already engaged after the 2021 tender. In the following 90 days, i.e. by mid-August, the definitive project accompanied by 75% of the verification and validation operations by ASSET. In the following 15 days the missing part of the verification will be completed and the combined tender for the executive design and construction of the works could be launched. Regional councilor Fabiano Amati, president of the 1st regional commission, said that September could be the timeframe in which to launch the tender, at the end of a session in which the protagonist was the ASL BT which will have to contract out the works. ASL and ASSET have explained that they will work together with the designers during these 90 days to speed up the verification procedures as much as possible. With the final project, then, you will have a clear and detailed picture of the new economic framework of the revised work so as to be able to promote the new program agreement between the Region and the Ministry for the financing of the work. According to Amati, however, the tender could already be authorized, as already happened for the monoblock of the “Riuniti” in Foggia, while still waiting for the overall financing of the work. A way to further accelerate a procedure that has remained in mothballs for about two years but which now seems to have had a decisive boost.
As also confirmed by the Mayor of Andria Giovanna Bruno, there will be no possible overlap with the possible construction of the southern link road of the ring road while the problem of access roads to the hospital remains to be clarified: at the moment there is still no letter of appointment to ASSET for the design of ancillary works. Only a feasibility study remains. He will be the first citizen of Andria to formalize a specific request to President Emiliano, currently also councilor for health, for a definitive design mandate to ASSET. From yesterday’s meeting in the region, however, it emerged that the new clinical management plan is in line with what was foreseen several years ago, namely a second level hospital with 400 beds, a trauma center with 12 operating rooms and 5 delivery rooms . The commission will now be reconvened in the first week of August to evaluate whether the entire timetable has actually been respected.
