This morning, young students from Andalusia stopped by the Municipality, hosted in the city by the II D students of the Mazzini middle school, as part of an Erasmus project called KA121. The group of students, made up of 10 Spanish students and 16 from the city school, was welcomed to Palazzo Zanca by the mayor Federico Basile. The children were accompanied by teacher Nunzia Galla, and for the foreign delegation teachers Susana Cerezo and Pedro Sutil. In welcoming the students, the Mayor underlined the importance of the Erasmus programs as “giving students the opportunity to travel between European states allows opportunities like this, to be welcomed in Messina with the opportunity to visit and learn about new places and territories and compare their respective cultures and lifestyles by experiencing them as closely as possible with a view to creating mature European citizens open to dialogue, essential aspects for personal growth in the name of intercultural integration ”. During the visit, the students also had the opportunity to appreciate the paintings and banners that decorate the Mayor’s room, the Falcone Borsellino Hall, and the Flag Hall and the Council Chamber.
