Carabinieri arrested drug dealer in Terni, he had 180 doses of cocaine
Carabinieri arrested – In Terni, an operation conducted by the Carabinieri of the local station led to the arrest of a young 28-year-old Romanian man, previously without a criminal record, on charges of possession of narcotics for the purpose of trafficking. The intervention took place late on Friday afternoon, in via Cesare Battisti, where the military, thanks also to reports from some citizens alarmed by suspicious movements, decided to proceed with checking the individual.
During the operation, the Carabinieri carried out a personal search of the young man, finding 80 wraps containing cocaine in his possession. The action of the police did not stop there: a subsequent house search made it possible to discover another 100 wrappers of the same substance, for a total weight of 80 grams. In addition, a sum of cash of almost 1,000 euros was found, presumably proceeds from the drug dealing activity, which was seized.
These events led to the immediate arrest of the 28-year-old, who was then transferred to Sabbione prison. The restrictive measure was subsequently validated by the judge during the hearing held the following morning.
This case highlights the importance of citizens’ reports in supporting the police in their daily work to combat drug trafficking. Thanks to the prompt and effective intervention of the Terni Carabinieri, it was possible to interrupt a significant illicit activity and prevent further distribution of harmful substances in the community. The episode also highlights the growing concern for neighborhood safety and the need for continued efforts in the fight against organized crime and drugs.
