Traffic interruptions and changes to bus routes

In Taranto, on 8 May, the feast of the Patron Saint, significant changes will be implemented to vehicle circulation and parking to accommodate the seaside procession, which has already reached a full house.

On the occasion of the celebrations of San Cataldo, on 8 May, various changes to roads and public transport will occur in Taranto. From 5pm to midnight, vehicular traffic will be interrupted on the Swing Bridge to allow the passage of the sea procession, which will also include an extraordinary opening of the bridge. Consequently, all Kyma Mobilità bus lines that normally pass through this area will begin to undergo route changes as early as 12:00, diverting towards the Punta Penna Bridge.

Furthermore, the streets of Borgo Umbertino falling into zones A, B and C will be subject to parking restrictions. To reduce inconvenience, holders of resident parking permits and parking subscribers in these zones will be able to use parking alternatives within the same zones A, B and C.

The presale of tickets to participate in the sea procession on two motor ships, the “Clodia” and the “Adria” of Kyma Mobilità, has sold out all available seats. The departure of the motorboats is set for 7.00pm from Piazzale Democrate, with passengers boarding starting from 6.30pm. Given the traffic restrictions on the Swing Bridge, we recommend using the Punta Penna Bridge to reach the embarkation point.
