The weather reciprocates: the Atlantic disturbance and patchy thunderstorms in Umbria

PERUGIA – After a few hours of “beautiful” skies, the weather in Umbria changes again. This is the fault of an Atlantic disturbance which – as the Perugia Meteo experts explain – “is approaching our western Tyrrhenian coasts with its warm front, which precedes the entry of cooler air”.

What will happen? “Important contrasts which could lead to the formation of showers and thunderstorms, even of strong intensity”, are expected from Tuesday 7th. The forecast models are uncertain, but “it seems that they will be more likely in the central-northern areas of the region, especially in the Upper Tiber and related Apennine areas”. With the possibility of “significant rainfall also in the regional capital”. Also according to Perugia Meteo «temperatures, from the afternoon, will suffer a decline with moderate winds, with stronger gusts in stormy areas. Attention: in these cases, it is not certain that many areas of the region will remain completely dry, precisely because the phenomena could be patchy.”
