The Agents of the Judicial Police Team of the Barletta Commissariat, coordinated by the Public Prosecutor’s Office at the Court of Trani, proceeded with the execution of a precautionary measure in prison against a citizen of Barletta held responsible for the crime of robbery.
The victim is a local 87-year-old elderly lady, who was returning home after doing some shopping. The woman was walking along Via Piave when, suddenly, she was reached from behind her and approached by a young man who, after giving her a push, made her fall to the ground, and then took away her bag placed on the trolley of the expense. The violent gesture caused the elderly woman to fall as she walked while leaning on her trolley. Immediately after the criminal act, the man made a hasty escape, losing track of himself.
The investigative activity carried out by the Agents led to the reconstruction of the dynamics of the affair and the identification of the perpetrator of the robbery, a young 27-year-old from Barletta, against whom a precautionary measure was requested, carried out in recent days by the investigators of the State Police offices in Via Manzoni.
The arrested person, after the ritual formalities, was transferred to the Trani prison at the disposal of the judicial authorities.
