As part of the activity to combat the phenomenon of illegal rentals and irregular short-term rentals, the soldiers of the provincial command of the Guardia di Finanza of Bologna reported to the Revenue Agency a person managing 12 apartments, most of which located in a prestigious property, located in one of the most characteristic streets of the historic center of the city of Bologna.

The interested party allegedly failed to pay taxes on the income deriving from the rental of the aforementioned properties, which were quantified at 1,816,000 euros. At the same time, the same property manager was reported to the local Judicial Authority, given that he had also failed to communicate the presence of guests in accordance with the relevant public safety regulations and, similarly, he would not have proceeded with the payment of the required tourist tax. for tourist rentals in the capital municipality.

The subject of the rentals were apartments, modernly furnished and with exclusive services – including the welcome kit and welcome drink – and equipped with a 24-hour reception and security service. The rentals were advertised on social media and on the main platforms of online booking, thus managing to attract numerous possible customers.
