Today’s edition of “Il Corriere dello Sport” focuses on Catanzaro and Vivarini who loses some pieces.
Catanzaro approaches the last day of the regular season of the Serie B championship with several concerns, especially related to the physical condition of many key players. The team faces Sampdoria in a crucial match which could have direct repercussions on the final standings and playoff pairings, with the possibility that the two teams will find themselves opponents again at that stage.
The situation in the infirmary is particularly critical. Giuseppe Ambrosino, one of the most productive elements of the team with 28 appearances, 3 goals and 2 assists, is out with a thigh muscle injury which will keep him away from the pitch for 30-40 days, effectively ending his season. This adds to the already heavy absences of Luca D’Andrea and Andrea Ghion, both of whom underwent surgery and are unavailable until the end of the season.
Other important figures such as Nicolò Brighenti and the players mentioned by coach Vincenzo Vivarini — Oliveri, Donnarumma, Miranda, Vandeputte, Iemmello, and Fulignati — are facing various physical problems that limit the options available. This forces the coach to manage the team with extreme caution, given the risk of aggravating further injuries in such a delicate moment.
The match against Sampdoria therefore appears not only as a sporting challenge, but also as a test of resistance and resource management for Catanzaro.
