After a period of living away from home, a family from Monterusciello, a hamlet of Pozzuoli, found two women and a young girl in their home who had forced the entrance to the public housing and had occupied it, preventing them from returning. The family is now forced to live on the streets, relying on relatives when possible.

Avs deputy Francesco Emilio Borrelli also intervened on social media and announced a battle to defend the family: «Obviously we have already requested intervention for the eviction from both the municipality and the prosecutor’s office given that a regular complaint has been filed. How can some people afford to occupy other people’s homes while leaving their legitimate assignees to sleep on the streets? Anyone who needs a place to live must contact the institutions and social services and ask to be assigned a house and not commit an offense or abuse. We won’t stop, we will continue to fight hard against those who take away people’s homes and we won’t let them get away with it.”
