Mystery in Pavia: 36 year old found dead on the street
Investigators are still carrying out investigations after the tragic discovery in viale Cremona a Pavia of a lifeless man. The alarm was raised around 5am by some passers-by who noticed the body lying on the pavement. The victim was identified as Julio Antonio Rosario Santos, a 36-year-old man, originally from the Dominican Republic.
The roommate was questioned
The carabinieri who responded to the scene immediately started the operations investigations, focusing on the apartment where the victim had lived for about ten years. The owner of the house, Fausto Baiguera, 69 years old, was questioned about Santos’ death. Baiguera admitted that he had had an argument with his friend during the night, during which he allegedly hit him, causing his death. She then told about having dragged the body out of the apartment.
However, the reason for the attack and the weapon used still remain unknown, as Baiguera was unable to provide detailed explanations during the interrogation, appearing visibly agitated by the events. In fact, after experiencing a slight illness, he was also taken to hospital for medical check-ups.
The Carabinieri of the scientific department have started investigations both inside and outside the house, while the forensic doctors are still trying to determine the cause of Santos’ death. According to initial rumours, no obvious injuries were found on the victim’s body.
An autopsy was ordered on the victim’s body to shed light on the dynamics of the facts and determine the exact causes of the 36-year-old’s death.
