“Facce da bronzi Pink”, conceived and produced by the association “Calabria behind the scenes” in collaboration with the theater association “I Vacantusi” and the artistic direction of the author of “Zelig” and “Made In Italy” Alessio Tagliento, will be held at the “Grandinetti” theater starting at 9pm. An awareness event against gender violence through support for the Demetra anti-violence center in Lamezia Terme and the participation of established comedian testimonials from the national theater and television scene. The evening, with free entry, will be hosted by the actress Sabrina Pugliese of the company “i Vacantusi” and the comedian Peppe Scorza of the duo “I non ti regoli” and will see the performance of Mariuccia Cannata from Ragusa (winner of the special prize “Facce da bronzes” dedicated to Totò) with her funny character Pipitonella, the Sicilian popular on social media TIK TOK, Instagram and on a theatrical tour in the major Italian theaters Chiara Anicito with her “Cammela e la chat delle mum” (winner of the VIII edition of the festival Faces like bronzes), Laura Magni with her brilliant characters (the mayor Norma Passarin and the Spanish teacher dog), and the Turin Federica Ferrero present in the latest editions of “Zelig” with her very funny and varied WhatsApp chats. The Festival will close on May 26th at 8.45pm at the “Francesco Cilea” theater in Reggio Calabria with a show full of competing artists and special guests presented by the imitator Gennaro Calabrese and the awarding of the “Facce da bronzi dedicated this year to the Bagaglino actor Oreste Lionello. The event is co-financed by the “Cultural Activities 2022” notice PAC 2014-2020 of the Calabria Region, with the patronage of the Metropolitan City of Reggio Calabria, the Municipality of Reggio Calabria, Roma Capitale II Municipio and Unicef Italia.
The artistic director Alessio Tagliento is enthusiastic about the initiative and notes: “Facce da Bronzi has always been an event attentive to times and choices, demonstrating in advance the socio-cultural path of society and the media. The world claims the role of women and the presence of female comedy is the most evident of this edition. We are proud to once again be the beacon of new trends and to be the launching pad for artists who will confirm what we believe: laughter is the most empathetic means of diffusion that exists through which the most important messages can pass.
