The sixth edition of La Settima Arte Cinema e Industria, the event organized by Confindustria Romagna, the University of Bologna-Department of Arts in collaboration with the Municipality of Rimini and the Fellini Museum, which from 2 to 5 May, closed with great success, to experience the magic of cinema and its industry to the public. In the rich program of events, with previews, screenings, conferences, masterclasses, book presentations and awards ceremonies, we traveled together on a journey to discover the workers of the seventh art and audiovisual professions.

The 2024 edition therefore marked another milestone in the journey that began six years ago and aimed at promoting and sharing the values ​​of doing business and the cinema industry.

With the anniversary of 70 years of The street by Federico Fellini, we analyzed the legacy of one of the Maestro’s most important films. The analysis and in-depth conference on 2 and 3 May, organized by the University of Bologna and the Fellini Museum in collaboration with the Cineteca Comunale di Rimini, La Settima Arte Cinema and Industria CFC, opened with Pope Francis’ significant message dedicated to the film.

Tribute to The street also during the award ceremony of the Confindustria Romagna Cinema and Industry Award which was held at the Galli theater in Rimini on Saturday 4 May with the big names of the cinema industry as protagonists: Carlo Verdone Honorary Cinema and Industry Award, Giampaolo Letta Medusa Film (Production Award), Andrea Romeo I Wonder Pictures (Distribution Award), Laura Muccino (Casting Director Award), Marco Spoletini (Award for Editing). Pupi Avati, president of the jury, was also on the Gallini stage. During the awards ceremony, hosted by journalist Paola Saluzzi, the Valpharma Prize for cinema was also awarded to director Laura Samani.

There are many significant moments of the event for discussion, in-depth analysis and training on how cinema and audiovisual products are created. From the opening night with Federico Marchetti in the name of cinema, innovation, fashion and doing business to the meeting dedicated to Andrea Purgatori, from the event for in-depth information on companies’ films and audiovisual productions, to previews such as the sports documentary by Ermanno Olmi and the film El Paraiso by Enrico Maria Artale, up to the reflection on the path of the supply chain in the region brought by Film Commission Emilia Romagna.

All the venues of the Film Festival will welcome the guests and the large audience: Teatro Amintore Galli, Cineteca di Rimini, Cinemino Fellini Museum Palazzo del Fulgor, Cinema Fulgor, Cinema Giometti – Multiplex Le Befane, Cinema Teatro Tiberio, Teatro degli Atti. The Settima Arte Cinema e Industria therefore confirms itself as a reference event for the entire cinema industry and a successful event thanks to an idea of ​​system and collaboration that involves companies, institutions, bodies, cultural partners and the public.
