A journey through the tastes, scents and symbols of antiquity, where you can taste the “Bes Tablets”, the “Pharaoh’s Elixir” and other sweets inspired by the flavors and ingredients of the past, with products specially created for the occasion . The president of the association, Iginio Massari: “We chose the Egyptian Museum because it recalls the history of ancient cultures and we want to combine ancient cultures with the modern world and the world of desserts, using the ingredients that the Egyptians used; it seems that we got it right ‘idea, people are curious and happy, they visit the Museum which is a wonderful place, there are people from all over the world.” To look at and try sweets of all kinds, Guido Castagna, chocolatier: “Turin, the first capital of Italy and the capital of chocolate, as a chocolatier I am happy with this union. The Egyptian Museum is also turning 200 years old and it was nice to all collaborate together, talk about all the sweets and in particular for me about this world linked to hazelnut, cocoa, gianduia”. Also ice creams inspired by ancient Egypt, Francesco Mastroianni, ice cream maker: “We made an ice cream with ancient sugars, such as honey, and an ice cream with few sugars such as honey and basil sorbet”. Participation in the tastings and product presentations was included in the Museum ticket.
