The interregional phases of the national Under 13 Futsal Elite Tournament, a youth 5-a-side football activity, are upon us. As established, 27 teams will be admitted to the Interregional Phase 1, divided into 9 groups of 3 teams, which will meet on a single day according to the triangular formula.
Representing the South Tyrolean Youth and School Sector of the FIGC will be Virtus Bolzano, winner of the provincial phase – staged last March 3 – on the synthetic pitches at Maso della Pieve, in Bolzano.
On Saturday 11 May our Virtussini will be among the participants of the triangular competition valid for Group 2. Which will take place in the gym in via dei Gelsi in Orsago (Treviso). Two Venetian teams will face them: Liventina Opitergina and Maccan Prata.
The winning team will have the doors opened to qualifying for Phase 2, which will take place in Lombardy on 18 or 25 May. The other two triangular tournaments, which will complete the picture of the nine qualified for this phase, will take place in Lazio and Sicily. The top three of these triangular tournaments will be the protagonists of the National Final Phase, scheduled for June 9th.
