The naming of the “Largo Elisa Clpas” and the “Fiore Bianco” park will take place on Friday 10 May 2024. Although thirty years have passed since Elisa’s death, Potenza does not forget and pays homage to her.
The program of the day includes the gathering of participants at 9.30 am in the Macchia Romana Park (formerly Elisa Claps Park) which will be renamed “Parco Fiore Bianco”. The institutional ceremony will be enlivened by a musical interlude by the singer Giusy Telesca and the pianist Paola Cammarota. At 11.00 a procession will start from via Mazzini, near the Claps house, which will move to the church of the Santissima Trinità where the naming ceremony will be held and the “Largo Chiesa Ss. Trinità” will be renamed “Largo Elisa Claps”. This will be followed by the reading of the names of the missing people and the suspended Lucanian stories that still await truth and justice.
