Riccardo Rignanese, who in January had abandoned Nunzio Angiola’s FoggiaPiù project, did not retrace his steps, but returned to his old political home.
And the Socialist Party re-entrusts him with a prestigious position. He is the new deputy provincial secretary with responsibility for the organization.
The new appointment, made in agreement with the regional secretariat and the national bodies as part of the project to reorganize and strengthen the PSI in Capitanata, was announced by the provincial secretary Michele Santarelli and the president of the national guarantee commission Giulio Scapato.
“This assignment follows other assignments given to comrades in other municipalities and this in order to have a more structured and organized party that can face the upcoming and demanding electoral challenges with greater enthusiasm”they declared.
Until about ten years ago, Riccardo Rignanese had held the role of city secretary, as well as being part of the National Council. He was also a city councilor (until 2009), elected on the PSI list.
The last elections were followed by former parliamentarian Nunzio Angiola, now an opposition municipal councilor and leader of the Cambia movement, and his daughter, Stefania Rignanese, was elected councilor with 277 preferences on the ‘Angiola mayor’ list.
