Julen Lopetegui will be the next coach of West Ham. This time no surprises. It seems everything is done and the indiscretion is also launched by market expert Fabrizio Romano. After having ‘touched’ Milan, with a meeting between the club and the coach’s entourgae which seemed to see Milan convinced of this option for the bench, the Rossoneri suddenly changed course, thus leaving Lopetegui with the option he already had in hand for next season.
The Spaniard will fly to the Premier League – a championship where he has already coached – and will do so on the West Ham bench, where he will take the place of the outgoing David Moyes. For Lopetegui there is talk of a two-year contract worth around 4 million euros plus bonuses, with the option for the third year which will be triggered if West Ham are classified (in at least one of the two seasons) in the European zone. Any extension can start as early as the first season.
One of the hypotheses made for Milan next season is therefore definitively over, with the Rossoneri appearing in the last few hours to have definitively taken the path of Sergio Conceicao, current coach of Porto and already seen in Italy as a player with the shirts of Parma, Inter and Lazio.
