Seafront, work in progress

CIVITAVECCHIA – The completion of the work underway at the Marina is scheduled for the end of the month, intended to change the seafront, making it more welcoming, accessible and livable, in view of the full summer and cruise season.

A seafront that can also be attractive from a tourist point of view.

The construction site is still open near the area occupied, until a few weeks ago, by the reinforced concrete boat removed also due to its danger.

In its place, as already explained by councilor Manuel Magliani, there will be a pump track – that is, a circuit of bumps, banked curves and descents – benches and shade shelters.

Further down, towards the swimming pool, however, a fitness area will be built, as already exists in the parks of many cities, with training facilities.

We have to wait a little longer, however, for the completion of the works in Piazzale degli Eroi which are creating some inconvenience for the residents and the shops and clubs present in the area, who have complained above all about the timing of the start of the works.

The intervention, in this case, will see the installation of cobblestone paving in the area currently made of asphalt in front of the War Memorial and the replacement of the concrete tiles present on Viale Garibaldi, on the tourist information point side, with Travertine and Basalt slabs.

The objective of the Pincio, in fact, is to create a space that is not only functional, but also welcoming and pleasant for everyone: from the residents who frequent the area daily, to the tourists who visit or pass through Civitavecchia on their way to the port, up to the Merchants.
