The policy for the protection of minors in sport. A first look starting from the Csi Piacenza companies“: this is the title of the seminar promoted at the Catholic University of the Sacred Heart of Piacenza on Wednesday May 8th from the Course on Law and Management of Religious Bodies and the Third Sector – Faculty of Economics and Law, from the Diocesan Service for the Protection of Minors and Vulnerable Adults and from the Italian Sports Center-Provincial Committee of Piacenza. The seminar, which will take place in the Piana hall of the university starting from 2.30 pm, will launch a training course aimed at coaches and technical-managing staff of the Piacenza sports world to deepen and support the implementation of the provisions of the reform of sport of 2023. Following this fulfillment, sports associations and clubs are obliged to designate a person responsible for the protection of minors. During the seminar, the mapping conducted on CSI affiliated sports clubs operating in the ecclesiastical environments of Piacenza – mostly parishes – will be presented, with the aim of detecting how the expected fulfillment has been implemented and identifying the training needs of those who work in sport in contact with minors present in this regard. The survey was carried out by the students of the course guided by the professor Anna Gianfredawho will coordinate the seminar.

The course will be attended by students Delia Botta, Francesca Divina Campostrini and Roberta Maria Farina, and then Alessandra Pietrini – national Csi policy representative, welfare area – who will illustrate the value of the policy for the protection and care of childhood and adolescence in the world of sport . The works will be closed by the territorial president of Csi Piacenza, Stefano Magnaschiand the contact person for the diocesan service for the protection of minors and vulnerable adults, the psychologist Chiara Griffini. The objective of the initiative is to promote a network action – Csi, Diocesan Service for the protection of minors and vulnerable adults, course on law and management of religious bodies and the third sector – so that sport is a safe environment for all, in which minors can feel the responsibility and care of adults in ensuring the promotion of their talents and dreams through respectful and safe play and entertainment.
