Pippo Bonanno, director of the technical area of Reggio Calabria, spoke to Febea after the draw at Igea Virtus and while part of the city is focusing on possible new investors, there is instead a project underway that needs to be strengthened and enriched with quality grafts:
“We think positively about the spirit and identity of the team, with the right additions it can be competitive for the next tournament. The numbers were not of the teams ahead, it is clear that something was missing. It was a very difficult year to carry on, at this moment the team is aware of what it wants, the gap with the others can be reduced. We see the glass as half full, we have overcome many situations of all colors, we have arrived in fourth place which does not allow us to go up, but allows us to continue building a team to be able to compete”.
Adds Bonanno: “The owners gave us the input to set up a team to aim to win the category, regardless of what we hear around“.
