The Municipality launches a new initiative for more accurate waste separation
The Municipality of Matera has announced the launch of the information campaign “Let’s differentiate better”, designed to raise citizens’ awareness of the need to improve the quality of separate waste collection.
In a press release issued today, the Municipality of Matera presented the new campaign “Let’s differentiate better”. The campaign aims to raise awareness among the citizens of Matera on the importance of correct waste separation to improve the quality of separate waste collection, currently stable at 72% efficiency.
The initiative involves the dissemination of a clear and effective infographic, mainly intended for social media, electronic channels and municipal video screens, which encourages citizens to “Divide waste correctly – download the app and consult the disposal guide” .
The objective of the campaign is to overcome the current threshold of separated waste collection, improving not only the quality but also the volumes of the individual separated fractions.
Specific initiatives are also planned to optimize the collection and transfer of commercial and hotel activities in the historic center. The Municipality also recalled the existence of the “Iodifferenzio#sub1” service app, which helps citizens recognize the correct type of disposal for each type of waste.
