Hernandez 6 – Having discounted the maxi post-derby disqualification, he wants to make amends but between his powerful headbutt and the goal there is Martinez who tells him no even after a coast to coast of his team.
Bennacer 5 – If the defense often gets into trouble it’s because there isn’t the necessary filter up front. The return to the top after the serious injury is still far away. From 80′ Adli sv
Reijnders 5 – Freed from the heel by Leao he doesn’t have the right malice to do harm with the shot from outside. He takes few risks, he doesn’t push himself beyond the ordinary. He trudges over Thorsby.
Chukwueze 6 – High danger index, in one against one he is a tightrope walker: the soft ball for Florenzi is delightful. He also finds the goal, but it is disallowed. Since 80′ Thiaw 5.5 – Unlucky with the rebound which sealed the result
Pulisic 6 – He makes the post shake, even as an attacking midfielder he is the most convinced in wanting to rebel against the direction the match has taken. He puts the cross in for Giroud.
Leao 5 – He warms up with a few caresses of the sole, rekindles a silent San Siro by taking off with the ball glued to his foot but the problem is always the same: concreteness. He leaves amidst boos. From 67′ Okafor 6 – Reinvigorates the offensive phase.
Giroud 6 – In Dr Jekill & Mister Hyde version: he devours a sensational goal by attempting an unlikely dive, he scores a much more complicated one, but it won’t be enough to win.
Stefano Pioli 5 – They must win to secure second place and participation in the European Super Cup, the only remaining objectives of a season with more shadows than lights. He comes close but is caught up in the final: his farewell to the Rossoneri bench is becoming a slow agony.

Martinez 6.5 – Easy with his feet, he almost gives the impression of having fun dribbling. Saved by the post on Pulisic’s curling shot, then he says no to Pulisic and performs a miracle on Theo.
Vogliacco 7 – As an arm he can double up: at the first offensive release he burns Tomori, winning the penalty for the advantage. Then he puts the doubling ball on Ekuban’s head. From 86′ Cittadini sv
De Winter 5.5 – Now a certainty at the center of the defense, he allows himself to be inattentive and pays dearly for it: Giroud passes behind him for the temporary overtaking.
Vasquez 6 – He makes himself felt in tackles, even landing a few kicks. A pair of closures in full South American style, competitive level always at the maximum.
Spence 6 – Preferred to Sabelli to counter the physicality of Theo Hernandez, the opposition on two of the three Rossoneri goals was not the best but also pushed a lot.
