Bitterness among the Teatro fans, who in the first part of the season dreamed of ending in a very different way and hoped to return to fighting for Serie C. Avezzano wins in Sora (1-2), repels Samb’s final assault and blocks a beautiful third place. Now they will challenge the rossoblu from the Marche at Dei Marsi in the semi-final.

Banegas in the 91st minute

“I’m happy for the goal and for another important victory, now we want to face the play-offs in the best way. Being second also counts for a possible repechage, the coach asked us to do so on the eve of the match and we are happy to have succeeded”, said “Pocho” Banegas, scorer of the winning goal.

Bruno in the 91st minute

“We had an excellent championship, we made a few mistakes when we were thinking about the play-offs – the words of Alessandro Bruno, Notaresco coach –. But the kids had a spirit of belonging and always believed in their work. I thank the president for his trust, as well as sporting director Masciangelo: if I do this job I owe it to them. Let’s wait for the company and see what to do. I don’t have any requests, I was only focused on the Notaresco, the discussions will be done indefinitely. If people speak well of us it is thanks to the boys and their work. I owe a lot to this team. There are so many kids who have grown exponentially, they can make the jump to the category, even if it’s not easy to go to the professionals. Many here deserve important stages.”

Luiso in the 91st minute

“We end the season without losing, after two defeats – said Pasquale Luiso, Chieti coach – . I certainly would have liked the victory. But when there was a fight to be had, we were there. I don’t blame the boys for anything, they made themselves available. The goal, when I arrived, was to raise my head again. We could have reached the play-offs, but we wasted some opportunities. The numbers? Judge for yourself, for six days we were undefeated and we dominated on all pitches. We stopped in Monterotondo, the only time in my management. The future? The club decides it, I had a good time. We’ll have a chat…”.
