Unieuro Forlì makes its debut in the Playoffs beating Vigevano in front of 3,400 spectators. For the Romagna team, driven by their usual defensive tenacity, Zampini’s 18 points and Cinciarini’s 16 stand out, but as always it is the overall play of the team coached by coach Antimo Martino that makes the difference. Race 2 will be repeated at Unieuro on Tuesday 7 May at 8.30pm. Ticket office open at Unieuro Arena tomorrow, Monday 6 May from 9.00am to 1.00pm and from 5.30pm to 8.00pm. Tuesday morning 9.00-13.00 and from 19.30, always at the Unieuro Arena.

Driven by immediate defensive solidity and from the offensive continuity under the basket, Unieuro Forlì enters the match with Davide Pascolo and Xavier Johnson putting the red and whites in rhythm. With the first insertions from the bench, the hosts maintained the pace on both sides of the pitch. Zampini’s baskets and Magro’s free throws put Forlì up 21-9. With 1’45” left in the first quarter, a triple and a series basket by Zampini bring the red and whites to 29-10, before the maximum lead of 31-11 which closes the first 10 minutes of the game signed by Daniele Skinny. The second quarter was more balanced, in which the gap did not undergo substantial changes, thanks above all to two consecutive triples by Valentini and Pollone who re-established the +20 halfway through the game. First half in the archive with Cinciarini’s triple to make it 50-33.

At the start of the third quarter the teams responded blow for blow, but in the last few laps Forlì regained its maximum advantage. While the defense continues to recover balls, Zampini enters the attack in attack and, 1’40” from the last mini-interval, a bomb from Radonjic, in transition, makes it 69-43. The end of the quarter for the Romagna team is still growing and, with baskets from Zampini and Cinciarini and a block from Davide Pascolo, the teams close the game at 72-45. The last 10 minutes of the match immediately saw the entry of the young Michele Munari, with the red and whites remaining with the lead in the match. In the last minutes, Zilio also scored and Borciu on the pitch. Forlì wins 87-71 and is now preparing for Game 2 in which a prompt reaction from Vigevano is expected.
