The fight for survival is now a question between four teams. With the mathematical relegation of Feralpisalò (which follows that of Lecco), I am alone Spezia, Ternana, Bari and Ascoli (in strict ranking order) the unsafe. As of today, the Ligurians would be safe, while Ternana and Bari would play the playouts. Finally, Ascoli would be faced with the very painful direct relegation to Serie C: a real bogeyman in view of the last ninety minutes.
To avoid it, we will need at least the same result as Ascoli at Bari (Marchigiani against Pisa at home) and not annulment of the playouts (it would happen if Bari and Ascoli were to lose; and Ternana and Spezia win, increasing the gap between 16th and 17th to at least 5 points).
