Chieuti: the van of the ASP Castriota and Corroppoli was stolen. It is the means used by operators to allow disabled children who attend the Poggio Imperiale center to get there from home and return home in complete safety on a daily basis.
They stole it in Foggia, in Piazza Pavoncelli, in front of the ASL hygiene center where it was parked waiting to be taken to the workshop to have it serviced.
“Honestly, says president Vittorio Presutto, I don’t know whether to be more angry or more saddened.
Saddened by those children from Chieuti, Poggio Imperiale and Serracapriola who do not have the possibility of reaching the center independently and will be forced to remain confined at home instead of participating in the educational and leisure activities that fill their days.
Angry at the thieves who caused considerable economic damage to the institution.
It is episodes like this that fuel the sense of confusion and mistrust in families who already experience fragile conditions and in those who work at the service of the community.”
