GOODBYE TO FOOTBALL – «It was not an easy decision, inside me I have a huge passion for football, the culture of training, going to the pitch etc… I think my time has come at 37 years old to make this decision with the utmost serenity. After a complicated year it was a thought that wore me down and gave me a lot of insecurities. I had to take a path and that’s the one I decided, I won’t change my decision. I think I gave everything I could give, I’m proud of myself. Seeing the people of Cagliari today is an important thing, you are fantastic people and you have given me your heart. The bond between me and the people of Cagliari will be eternal”
EMOTIONS AND FUTURE – «Fantastic emotion today, what happened today was a gift. I truly thank everyone, the Giulini family, Cagliari and all the people who applauded me today. I realized 10 beautiful years and a beautiful career, I finished my career in Sardinia where I wanted. I will continue to praise the colors red and blue. Future? I am curious about the future, I am determined and positive, I will put all of myself into realizing other dreams, I already have the UEFA B license, I will continue to study for this and get the UEFA A license to be a coach”
