Almost two million euros for the new Archaeological museum of Campomarino

The heart of the charming historic center of Campomarino is preparing to see the light of the Archaeological Museum, an ambitious project intended to enhance the rich archaeological heritage of the Molise Region. With a loan of €1,778,000.00, made possible thanks to the support of the Meloni Government and the Minister of Culture Gennaro Sangiuliano, the Museum will come to life inside the elegant Palazzo Norante.

The primary objective of this museum is to offer an adequate and modern exhibition venue to host the archaeological finds of considerable importance currently kept in the deposits of the Superintendence of Molise. These finds, precious testimonies of the region’s past, will finally be made accessible to the public, thus contributing to promoting knowledge and appreciation of local history and culture.

The creation of the archaeological museum will involve several phases, including the purchase of a further portion of Palazzo Norante, already available to private owners. This new area will allow us to expand the exhibition space and provide the services necessary to welcome visitors in a comfortable and welcoming way. Furthermore, modern electronic and digital technologies will be implemented, which will enrich the museum experience, making it engaging and interactive.

The news of the creation of this museum aroused great satisfaction from Sen. Costanzo Della Porta And the Hon. Elisabetta Lancellotta «Rthey ingratiate the Meloni Government and, in particular, the Minister of Culture Gennaro Sangiuliano who, once again, have demonstrated the Government’s closeness to Molise. This important financing, conclude the Molise parliamentarians, will finally make a stupendous building such as Palazzo Notante usable, which will become an important cultural center for the entire Region”.

For the community of Campomarino and for the entire region, the birth of the archaeological museum represents an important milestone. Palazzo Norante, once its restoration is completed and adapted to its new museum functions, could become an important cultural hub, attracting visitors from all over Italy and beyond.
