One year after the 94th Alpini Gathering in Udine and on the threshold of the 95th, which this year will be held in Vicenza, Tuesday 7 May, at 11am, in the’auditorium from the Scientific library of theUniversity of Udineit will come introduced the volume “The Alpine Gathering: values, economy and sustainability. The Udine 2023 experience” (Forum, Udine).

The volume collects the main results of a large project researchcreated in collaboration with the National Alpine Association, which examines the impacts of the national gathering in many respects: economic, social, values ​​and environmental. The study, conducted by researchers from the Department of Economic and Statistical Sciences of the University of Friuli, also illustrates the unique characteristics of the organizational model that supports the dynamic structure of the event.

The presentation of the volume will see the presence of: the rector, Roberto Pinton; of the vice-rector, Andrea Cafarelli; of the scientific coordinator of the project, Cristiana Compagno; of the national president of the National Alpine Association (ANA), Sebastiano Favero; of the Udine section president of the ANA, Mauro Ermacora. For this reason, research work such as that carried out by the University of Udine takes on fundamental importance, because with rigorous and scientific criteria it defines a global portrait of the impact of a gathering on people and their environment. A highly authoritative tool that – he underlines Favero – in addition to providing precise references, it also becomes valuable in perspective, to read the meetings in an increasingly objective way.”
