Present around 800 Contrada members and not the traditional way Gallic dinner organized by Saint Dominic at the Palaborsani in Castellanza. «We surpassed the attendance record set last year– said the captain Alessandro Furlan – the Gallic dinner has been the flagship of our district for years.” In full Gallic atmosphere the diners enjoyed the food while sitting at immense tables with the traditional ones.

The locationchanged to prevent possible bad weather, it met expectations and it is not excluded that it will be reused by the district for other initiatives as well. «We preferred to organize the event here not only because of the risk of rain but also because the temperatures are still a bit low, – said the captain – we do not exclude the possibility of using this location for other events in the future as well».
The Gallic Dinner was animated by a succession of Italian and non-Italian hits sung and danced by the Palaborsani guests who let loose on the dance floor between one course and another. A round of applause to the approximately 100 green and white Contrada members of the kitchen, service and staff group who prepared and brought to the table a menu based on crouton with lard and honey as an appetizer, chicken shank and sweet focaccia to finish. An evening of good food and fun that everyone enjoyed.
