The Summer School for Apprentice Wizards and Witches arrives in Ravenna: a magical adventure for children

This summer, Rocca Brancaleone will become the place where children aged 5 to 11 can live an unforgettable magical experience. The “Summer School for Apprentice Wizards and Witches” is ready to kick off a summer full of magic and learning, where play and discovery come together in a unique experience.

Rocca Brancaleone will be transformed into the headquarters of the “Summer School for Apprentice Wizards and Witches”, an innovative summer center (CRE) that combines the fun of live role-playing games (Edu-LARP) with multidisciplinary activities inspired by fantastic worlds like those of Harry Potter and Percy Jackson.

The CRE will be held from June 7 to July 19 and from September 2 to 13, with flexible hours from 7:30 am to 6:00 pm. Children will have the opportunity to learn and have fun through Edu-LARP (Educational Live Action Role Playing), an educational approach that transforms learning into an engaging adventure. Playing roles as wizards and witches, young apprentices will solve puzzles, collaborate with playmates and face exciting challenges. They will have fun attending “lessons” on potions, herbology, muggle studies, spells, defense against the dark arts, transfiguration, magical readings…

This summer center is part of the Kid Lights pedagogical project which interprets magic as a tool to get excited and consciously express one’s talents. The multidisciplinary program integrated into the “School for apprentice wizards and witches” offers STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Mathematics) workshops, yoga, mindfulness and emotional intelligence activities, as well as support in carrying out holiday homework. These activities not only help children develop a passion for scientific disciplines, express their creativity, but also develop critical thinking and interpersonal skills, all in a safe and welcoming environment.

The CRE is managed by Kid Lights APS, a non-profit organization that has been offering innovative pedagogical projects to families for several years. The team of the “School for apprentice wizards and witches” is made up of qualified educators, trained animators, professional actors and illusionists, dedicated to creating a context of play, summer relaxation and stimulating learning. The Edu-LARP approach, in fact, allows you to create a fun and structured environment with activities that adapt to different interests and skill levels. Furthermore, the CRE offers discounts for multiple weeks, discounts for siblings and is accredited to the “Project to combat educational poverty and work-life balance: support for families for attending summer camps in 2024”, making this experience even more more accessible.

Registrations are open and places are limited. For more information on the program, registration fees and how to enroll children, visit www.kidlights.it or contact [email protected].
