The Ancona dancer Sofia Cagnetti, eliminated during the sixth episode of Evening Amici, was a guest on the Canale 5 program “Verissimo”, hosted by Silvia Toffanin.
During the interview Sofia recounted her experience in the twenty-third edition of the talent show, where she was a student of Emanuel Lo.
Born in Ancona on 6 January 2006, Sofia is having her first television experience. She attends the Urban Studios in Ancona, under the guidance of the choreographer Daniela Cipollone and also the Beyond Company, where she shows her predilection for hip-hop, without however disdaining other styles: modern, classic, contemporary, heels.
On the show she declared that her love for dance has accompanied her since she was little: “I’m a little intimidated, it’s the first time for me. Yes, I’m only 18 and I turned it in school. It was a dream of mine. celebrate there. But as a child I also dreamed of the Evening and played at pretending to participate, I made my mother and father sit like the audience and I pretended that Maria was also there. I’m disappointed because I would have liked to go even further, however, anyway I don’t know how long it took, because I gave it my all and I hope you saw how much I loved being there and dancing.”
She also spoke about her friendship with the dancer Lucia Ferrari: “With Luci, as soon as I saw her, I immediately felt that feeling that told me that with her we would be friends and so it was and we felt at ease straight away in telling each other, as if we had known each other our whole lives.”
During her adventure which lasted about eight months, Sofia always received the support of her parents, who on more than one occasion sent the dancer letters and video messages to support her journey and enhance her talent. Among the messages that most moved Sofia there was certainly the one for the evening. Her mother and father, in addition to complimenting her, expressed all their pride towards her: “You deserve this shirt too much, you’ve been waiting for it for a long time! – Her mother said in a phone call to the school – We are proud of you, my love. But how happy I am. I recommend it, full of joy and liveliness. You are our love! ”She added.
After a performance to the tune of the song ‘Run It!’, Sofia responds to Silvia Toffanin’s question about the scholarship in New York at the Joffrey Ballet and the possibility of moving to the USA: “I haven’t made the final decision yet, but most likely it is a yes.”
