Young Galletti at the City of Padua tournament

PADUA – After a week spent in the cold, wind and rain which prevented the little Galletti of Frassinelle Rugby from training, on Thursday 25 April the day of the City of Padua Tournament finally arrived, played in the Valsugana Rugby facilities, one of the best national teams in all junior sectors, both male and female.

Sixteen teams were present at the tournament reserved for the under 6, 8, 10 and 12 categories. In addition to hosts from Valsugana, the main Veneto companies were also present such as Petrarca PD, Benetton TV, Casale sul Sile, Vicenza, Conegliano, Patavium PD, Tarvisium, Verona, Camposampiero, Castellana, Cus Padova.

Rugby Frassinelle managed to participate with all the Unders, with the baby Gialloblù performing excellently in all categories, proving to be up to the task in every situation and competitive with every opponent. In the end, with a bit of better luck, the small club from Polesine could even think of something more flattering than the already excellent fifth place finish in absolute terms for the club.

The Tournament continued until the early afternoon with the finals on the main field, the only dry one, in a beautiful setting with an audience, in short, a beautiful experience that satisfied everyone, from educators to young athletes, parents and supporters.

The youngest categoryUnder 6 led by educators Elisa Savoia and Giorgia Menegatti she immediately behaved well. Despite the non-competitive game for the category, the Galletti immediately demonstrated confidence both with the game and with the new teammates from other teams who were introduced from time to time.

At the end of the day, educators were also satisfied with the important signs of growth and the commitment shown by the little Gallettis, who were always up to the task.
