One of the many investigations by the judiciary into the crafty citizens’ income, a support measure sent to the attic but which still attracts the attention of the political sphere and beyond, is proceeding quickly. There are 27 defendants for whom the deputy prosecutor Stefania La Rosa has requested to be sent to trial. And at the end of the preliminary hearing scheduled for June 18th, with a decree signed by investigating judge Eugenio Fiorentino, it will be established whether they will have to defend themselves in the courtrooms of Palazzo Piacentini against the accusation of having received the subsidy illegally. Charge brought following the investigations carried out by the Messina Group of the Guardia di Finanza against foreign citizens, which resulted in an alleged fraud against the State, and, in particular, the provincial headquarters of the INPS, which is therefore the offended party in this matter . Under the lens of the Fiamme Gialle, coordinated by the Peloritan Prosecutor’s Office, the conduct of defendants of Romanian, Libyan, Ukrainian, Moroccan and Bulgarian nationality. But also subjects originating from Nigeria, Colombia, the Philippines, Sri Lanka and Brazil, residing in Messina, Milan, Vibo Valentia and Caltanissetta.
