Genoa and Sampdoria, the Municipality is thinking of a third manager for Marassi: CDS inspection

The future of the Ferraris stadium in Genoa remains open to new developments. While Genoa And Sampdoria negotiations continue for a possible agreement on the management of the new company, the Municipality is exploring precautionary alternatives. As reported by The 19th Centurydeputy mayor Piciocchi conducted an inspection visit to Marassi together with a delegation from Cds Holding.

For CDS, known for its involvement in the Levante Waterfront, the meeting represents a first approach to the stadium. The Brescia company, which recently completed the transformation of a sports hall into a sports arena, now also seems interested in the Ferraris situation, after having shown interest in projects such as the Nuovo Galliera.

Despite the Municipality’s interest in a possible third manager of the stadium, Genoa and Sampdoria remain at center stage, engaged for months in the formation of the new company. Mayor Bucci expressed the need for a quick solution to start the works in the coming months, especially considering the redevelopment project proposed by Genoa in view of the EURO 2032.

However, the possibility of a third manager raises doubts on the part of the clubs, who would prefer to maintain direct control. The situation therefore remains fluid, with many parties at play and an imminent decision that could shape the future of the Ferraris stadium.
