Several Ferrara residents joined the civic list group “Ferrara al Centro – Andrea Maggi with Alan Fabbri Mayor” at the “Wellness Walk” on the Walls led by councilor Andrea Maggi with godmother Susanna Messaggio.
The “biscione” of people, marked with backpacks with the symbolic color of the list, “orange”, walked along the stretch of Mura degli Angeli, recently redeveloped as part of the “1 kilometer of Walls per year” project.
“We promote active life, movement and good health practices, in the heart of a city that has become its emblem, thanks to the extraordinary cycle paths and our Walls, a jewel of art and culture but also a precious heritage for practicing sports in the open air” commented Maggi, creator of the initiative.
The initiative was inaugurated by an exceptional godmother: Susanna Messaggio who in 2008 participated in the Milan marathon and also wrote the book “Running, from the armchair to the Marathon 9 months of breeding”.
“Running is part of us. It helps to get to know each other, to understand each other and, consequently, to face everyday life. But walking is also a physical activity that can provide many benefits if practiced constantly – continues Susanna Messaggio – and which can be practiced at any age”.
