“Skills and ideas”. These characteristics are highlighted by the Honorable Alice Buonguerrieri who this morning, in the City Council chamber, led the presentation of the list of 32 Fratelli d’Italia candidates in support of the mayoral candidate Marco Casali.
“We were able to choose – reiterates the honorable member from San Piero in Bagno -. Fratelli d’Italia proved to be the most attractive party. We have young people with enthusiasm and not so young people with great life experiences. We took into account the coverage of the territory, age groups and skills”. Then, he adds, after having read the entire list of candidates (few absences, all justified) of which he has drawn up a brief personal profile for each one, “I am proud of Marco Casali’s candidacy and I thank him for his availability. He is competent, prepared, a family man and Catholic. With him we have an alternative proposal to the left-wing administration that does not govern, but manages power. We have to win and we have to demonstrate that we know how to manage better.”
There is also an attack on Mayor Lattuca “he is biased”, says Buonguerrieri who assures: “Casali will dialogue with the national government”. In Cesena, he continues, “one lives well, thanks to the dynamism of the people of Cesena, despite the Democratic Party”.
“We need to improve in the public administration part – Casali insists as soon as he takes the floor -. The people showed great solidarity during the flood”. Then, addressed to the candidates: “I thank you because you have taken on responsibilities in a period of great social disengagement. Ours is a beautiful team and Fdi cares a lot about its candidates. Many are committed Catholics. On June 8th and 9th we will bear fruit if we work in osmosis.”
Casali illustrates i five themes that are closest to his heart: family, public order, mobility, security, cultivating the often hidden masterpieces of Cesena.
Finally, an appeal to the candidates: “When campaigning, always be yourself. Bring your ideas forward. In any case, result aside, we will have made good policy.”
Responding to journalists’ questions, Buonguerrieri says that the main theme for Fratelli d’Italia is that of security, “as many citizens have reported to us”.
Casali adds that would like to understand the great unresolved chapters of Cesena: “the Novello district which continues in fits and starts, with a silenced attitude on the part of the municipal administration. The hospital which was supposed to be completed in 2025 and will not even be completed in 2030 and risks making the current Bufalini lose importance”. As a second point, Casali highlights territorial security, then the urban plan for sustainable mobility (Pums) and the theme of the family, even if, he specifies, “there is no revolution to be made”.
On the family, Casali highlights four ways of commitment: giving value proportional to the number of children for the ISEE. Provide concrete help to newborns. Pay attention to difficult pregnancies. There are those who ask for the right to have an abortionwe talk about duty towards life. Finally, support for corporate welfare, to help families and businesses. If the family is solid, the whole of society benefits.”
Buonguerrieri closes the meeting by speaking on the flood: We will also deal with the great issue of the flood, so that everyone has 100 percent refunds. The government has allocated 3.5 billion euros for the safety of the territory. Now 1.5 billion reimbursements have been provided for private individuals, with the aim of reaching 100 percent. For movable property, never reimbursed before, there will be a flat-rate criterion. And all this was done in one year. Keep in mind that the commissioner structure for the 2012 earthquake in Emilia is still open.”
